Graduate Trainee – Financial Planner

The role

We are recruiting for talented graduates to join our 2024 Graduate Trainee Program. You have a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop within an award-winning business, that has a diverse, inclusive, and unique culture full of great people! As part of the program, you will be completing the Diploma in regulated financial planning through the CII, which is an integral part of working towards becoming a qualified financial planner. Saltus will provide you with full support and training, along with an exciting opportunity to experience working within several different departments within the organisation.

Attributes the successful graduate should possess

• An excellent communicator with a positive mindset
• Ability to work alone and well in a team
• Curiosity for solving business problems
• A ‘growth mindset’, i.e. an appetite for testing yourself and using past mistakes as a springboard to keep improving
• A technology native who has applied experience with Microsoft Excel but who is comfortable applying that knowledge to other systems
• Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines, often autonomously with a strong attention to detail
• The ability to form successful professional relationships both internally and externally
• On track to achieve at least a 2:1 from a leading university.

Location

We are looking for someone to work from any of our Saltus locations, and offer hybrid working, which includes 2 days in the office, with the remainder at home. We’re incredibly flexible about when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for. We are passionate about championing flexible working for our people, so if there’s a slightly different working pattern that you’re looking for, then please come and have a chat to us about it!

Salary and Benefits

Salary opportunity – £28,000, alongside 28 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), study support, life assurance, income protection and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform.
