Sam Holmes
Chartered Financial Planner, Partner
Sam believes the real value of financial planning is not simply building wealth, but understanding what that wealth can enable you to do. He works with clients to make well-judged decisions, particularly where there are important trade-offs, complex choices or long-term consequences. His approach is grounded in understanding what clients want their money to achieve before determining how it should be structured.
A Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS), Sam’s expertise spans retirement, investments, taxation, pensions and broader wealth planning.
Alongside advising clients, Sam plays a key role in developing Saltus’ financial planning proposition and shaping how advice is delivered, with a particular focus on client experience, technology and the future of the profession. He has also chaired an Investment Committee overseeing more than £1 billion of client assets, bringing additional expertise in investment management and governance.

Outside of work, Sam has a young family who keep him suitably busy and provide a reasonable amount of his weekly exercise. When he can fit in the rest, he enjoys the gym, running, football and padel. He is also a keen sports fan and long-suffering Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
