Can you tell me more about the role?

The purpose of this role is to onboard, train, and upskill financial advisers, paraplanners, and administrative support staff. This role ensures the team masters internal financial planning software, follows strict compliance workflows, and delivers a consistent, high-quality client experience. You’ll have responsibility for a wide range of duties, including the following:

  • Deliver training to new starters, provide refresher training for existing team members, and support the onboarding and integration of colleagues joining Saltus through newly acquired
  • Deliver process and system training to staff on both an individual and group basis, using a blend of face-to-face and remote learning methods.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and skills gaps, and design, develop, and deliver training solutions to address these needs.
  • Carry out discovery at acquiring Firms to understand current way of working and incorporate reference to changes during integration training.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, ensuring all content remains up to date, accessible within the Learning Management System (LMS), and aligned with content management standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure they are updated regularly and in a timely
  • Assess and provide feedback on individuals’ capability, competence, and training outcomes following the completion of learning
  • Act as a super user and trainer for core systems eg Curo, OneView, Wobi,
  • Document standard operating procedures for core financial planning processes to support training experience and work with Advice Quality Team to obtain
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training requirements are effectively identified prioritised and
  • Identify and respond proactively to new or evolving training requirements arising from organisational change, business acquisitions, new products, system enhancements, policy updates or strategic initiatives.
  • Support the continuous improvement of training programmes, processes and learning resources to enhance learner engagement, knowledge retention and operational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to get involved in other projects within the business as required.

 

What skills and experience do I need to have?

We think that the best candidate for this role will have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience within the Financial Planning industry, ideally experience of carrying out planning support and/or paraplanner roles.
  • Previous training experience across financial planning
  • Qualifications: DipFA/DipPFS (Level 4) is desirable but practical operational expertise is a priority.
  • A high level of familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce, Curo, IO etc is highly preferable
  • Experience working with LMS platforms
  • Energy and a passion for training people and watching them grow
  • The desire to take on a variety of tasks, adapting to changing business needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional instructional ability, high patience, and clear, jargon-free communication skills
  • The ability to take ownership and responsibility for tasks and projects, working autonomously and collaborating as needed with key stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).

 

Where will I be working?

We’re incredibly flexible about where, when, and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for. You’d be able to be based out of one of our many offices for three days each week, working the remainder of the week from home. This role will require regular travel between our office locations in order to deliver face to face training as required.
