Dan Hiles

Dan joined Saltus in 2022 and feels privileged to be able to support his clients to live the lives they want and be part of many of their big life decisions. He works collaboratively with his clients to fully understand what and who is important in their lives, as well as their aspirations and fears. By building a comprehensive financial plan and using cashflow forecasting software, Dan is able to help his clients understand what it will take to be truly financially independent and to have peace of mind that they can live their lives without fear of running out of money or leaving behind too much.

Dan began his career with Hargreaves Lansdown, where he gained a wealth of experience in numerous areas of financial services, with a particular interest in financial planning for individuals. After over 20 years in financial services, he is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, joining the ranks of those at the highest levels of qualification in our profession. He is also qualified with the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners.

Outside of work, Dan relishes a busy and adventurous lifestyle. 10 years ago, he and his wife took an 18 month career break to travel around the world. They are now settled back in Bristol with three young children, with whom they love to travel and spend time in the great outdoors and are always thinking of the next opportunities for skiing, hiking, surfing and wakeboarding.
