David Cooke

Co-Chief Investment Officer , Partner

David is Co-Chief Investment Officer and sits on the investment management and asset allocation committees.  

He joined Saltus in 2010, beginning his career at Goldman Sachs working in the UK, European and latterly Global Equities, and holding the position of Executive Director. Between leaving Goldman Sachs and joining Saltus, David also worked as a Managing Director at DrKW investment bank and at CQS, one of London’s most successful hedge funds. 

He has an MA in Engineering, Economics and Management Science from Lincoln College, Oxford University. 

Before joining Saltus, David held various senior positions in investment banking and the institutional asset management world.

When David isn’t working or spending time with his twentysomething children (who surprisingly still need a fair amount of parenting), you’ll find him trail running, mountaineering, watching a provincial Irish rugby match, or perfecting his golf swing. An avid wine enthusiast—both drinking and growing—he enjoys 80’s synth pop and takes pride in being a self-proclaimed neologist.
