James Woodhouse

James is keen on building plans with clients to achieve their goals, big or small, so their money fulfills their ambitions and is ultimately a source of happiness rather than worry. By listening carefully and assessing both short-term and long-term goals, clients are left feeling confident about their future. James has a strong knowledge of investments and pensions, presenting this to clients in a way that is easy to understand, and focusing on relationships built on trust and high-quality work.

James has been in the industry for over 10 years, starting in administration. He joined Saltus in 2015 as direct support to financial planners while collecting his Chartered status, before advising clients on his own. James has worked through vast industry changes, such as the introduction of pension freedoms, and achieved a high level of technical knowledge, which enables him to best advise clients of all types, whether it’s people at the start of their careers looking for sound financial planning, people at the end of their career transitioning into retirement, or anything in-between.

Outside of work, James is a sportsman and athlete having played football from a young age to a competent amateur standard, James has also now transitioned into the world of golf. Physical fitness with a competitive mentality has always been part of who he is and keeps him occupied most weekends and training during the week. James enjoys all sports, following horse racing, cricket, boxing, and tennis in addition to those he practices. Outside of sports, James likes history, films, reading, music, pub quizzes, and video games.
