Dr Michael Peacey
Dr Mike Peacey is a senior lecturer in economics at the University of Bristol. He was previously an associate professor at Northeastern University and, prior to that, taught at the University of Bath. He has a PhD in game theory, an MSc in economics, and a BSc in Mathematics. He has published in academic journals across several areas, ranging from scientific peer review to pensions policy, and is currently working on a Royal Society project about misinformation. He has previously been involved in government regulation of higher education and has also undertaken a variety of consultancy projects – most notably as the auction theory consultant for Sky Plc during the £30bn takeover auction in 2018.

Jon Macintosh
Jon is Managing Partner of Saltus. He is passionate about creating a culture where everyone is proud to work whilst also envisioning a business model that challenges traditional expectations of asset and wealth management for clients.
Before founding Saltus in 2004, Jon held various senior roles in the institutional asset management world. These included being Managing Director of Lehman Brothers, where he was co-head of the European mezzanine credit fund, Managing Director of Deutsche Bank, a Partner of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity managing a €1.5 billion private equity buy-out fund, and before that, a UK equities fund manager at Schroders.
Jon has an MA in Classics and Modern Languages from Oxford University, an MBA from INSEAD and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. He has held a number of non-executive roles. He is currently Chairman of the Westbridge Private Equity Supervisory Board and was previously a Trustee of the charities Book Aid International, and of Missing People where he was also chair of the Development Board.

Michael Stimpson
Mike is the Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Commercial, leading the strategic direction, growth initiatives and commercial performance across the business.
Mike oversees companywide growth at Saltus leading our M&A process from thoughtfully partnering with like‑minded financial planning firms to guiding their acquisition and integration. His focus is on ensuring that any business joining the group shares the same high standards of care.
In addition, Mike also leads the Saltus Partnership Programme (SPP), which supports financial planners and firms that want to grow without being acquired. In this role, he helps firms access the resources, specialist teams and financial support they need to scale, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately free up more time to better serve their clients.
Throughout his career, Mike has worked closely with financial planning businesses, beginning as an Investment Manager before moving to Saltus.
