Regional Director (North)
We’re looking for a Regional Director within SFP, taking leadership responsibility for the pod certified functions (Financial Planners) within the North of the United Kingdom and helping to develop and deliver the future strategy. What will I be doing?
Working closely with the other Regional Directors, the SP Leadership team and reporting to the Managing Director of SFP you will have responsibility for a wide range of duties, including the following:
- Overall management responsibility for the two pod’s within the North of the UK (exact lines to be decided) reporting into the Managing Director of SFP.
- Be accountable for all certified adviser roles within the region.
- Monitor and support new business inflow and regional performance, ensuring KPIs and OKRs are met.
- Line management, coaching and mentoring as required of each of the pod leaders, supporting them with their personal development and CPD.
- Liaise with the People team and other support functions (e.g. Compliance, Training) to coordinate regional people matters and performance initiatives.
- Actively participating in and leading projects across the pods, as required
- You will champion and promote a comprehensive financial planning approach across the region and wider Saltus business.
- Be a key point of contact for the SFP leadership team in the North, acting as the regional lead for executive communications and business planning.
- Supporting and help delivering any group meetings, either in the region or as a business e.g., the annual Financial Planning Day or the Adviser Gathering.
- It is desirable that the Regional Director looks after a modest book of clients, continues to deliver a high level of service to these existing clients aligned with internal service standards and industry regulations so as to build credibility and awareness of challenges that the advisers and pods face. There will be no new business or relationship management targets for this role.
What skills and experience do I need to have?
- You’ll be an experienced Financial Planner who holds the Chartered Financial Planner (or equivalent) status and has an expert understanding of the industry.
- You will be able to demonstrate excellent people management and leadership skills which align with the Saltus culture, and which will help us to develop our teams, supporting the individual development of the pod Leadership and the pod team advisers.
- You will be passionate about making a difference and delivering great outcomes for our clients and will utilise your excellent technical understanding to support the team and provide expert insight. This role will help forge a national path for Saltus advisory services, growing the footprint of our services and growing the impact of the brand on a national level.
- When it comes to communication skills, you’ll be confident communicating across a range of mediums and will be able to work effectively with leaders right across the business.
- You will have a high level of commercial acumen and will seek to instil this across the pods, ensuring that the client experience is prioritised at all times.
- Most importantly of all, you will be genuinely excited about playing a key part in this next stage of our growth and contributing to the success of the wider business.
- You will have a current SPS and up to date CPD.
Where will I be working?
We’re flexible about where you’re based, but a willingness to spend the majority of your time within the North of the United Kingdom travelling between locations on a regular basis, will be critical. You should expect to split your time between Saltus office locations, client meetings, and working from home.
