Platform Support Technical Administrator (12-month FTC)

Saltus is a privately owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions. Saltus Partners was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally, the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship.

What does this role look like?
The key areas of the role are as follows:
- Responsible for supporting the Technical Associate in the following processes, end to end for the whole of Saltus:
- Deceased
- Divorce / Split Accounts
- Turning 18 trigger and oversight
- Setting up SSAS plan in Curo
- Assist the SME for POA and Trusts for Platform Support
- Ensuring there is sufficient knowledge across team in respect of these processes.
- Effectively managing email service, in a customer focussed manner
- Answering both internal and external telephone calls
- Providing support to Saltus Partnership firms, providing guidance, working with team point person for firm
- Active participator in meetings, escalating any issues as appropriate
- To be an advocate for the Saltus Culture
- Helping other teams when needed
What sort of person are you looking for?
- 2+ years in a Financial Services environment
- A good level of industry knowledge in deceased/divorce processing
- An excellent communicator who is also down to earth and can work well in a team
- Super organised and resilient
- Curiosity for solving process problems
- A ‘growth mindset’, i.e. an appetite for testing yourself and using past mistakes as a springboard to keep improving
- A technology native who has applied experience with Microsoft Excel, but who is comfortable applying that knowledge to other systems.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines, often autonomously
- The ability to form successful professional relationships both internally and externally
- Always delivering excellent customer service
- Put yourself in the customers shoes, suggest and drive forward ways where we can improve
- Build excellent relationships with our customers – internal and external
- Complete work to a high level of accuracy
- Effectively self-manage your work, with minimal oversight
- Take responsibility for the data in our systems to ensure it is accurate and up to date
- Actively seek ways to improve quality and efficiency in our working practices and processes
- Embed our error/root cause analysis ethos into your daily routine
- Own cradle to grave small to medium size initiatives
- Support larger projects, including testing
- Documenting and enhancing procedures, ensuring the are regularly reviewed
- To be a great team player
- To take full ownership of your own development and progression
Where will I be working?
This role is based from our Whiteley office and we offer hybrid working, with at least three days a week in the office. We’re incredibly flexible about when and how you work: we don’t want anyone to be prevented from coming to work for Saltus as a result of the working pattern that they’re looking for. The salary is between £28k-£32k (depending on experience), alongside 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) and your birthday off, life assurance cover, income protection and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform.
