To support that growth, we’re expanding our Finance team and looking for a well-organised, proactive, and detail-focused individual to play a key role in the revenue function. Saltus Partners was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship.

The Role and Responsibilities

The Revenue Accountant will:

  • Assist with income reconciliation of Off-Platform financial planning income
  • Complete the monthly On-Platform billing process
  • Assist with processing fee correction and backbill requests and calculations
  • Deal with general fee queries from stakeholders across the business
  • Work alongside the Finance Manager to build new processes and complete revenue projects
  • Post revenue related journals into accounting system
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Utilise data to find opportunities to improve revenue information and collect uncollected fees

Person specification

Essential

  • Degree educated and/or holds, or is part way through, a relevant accountancy qualification, with a minimum of AAT Level 4 (or equivalent). Candidates currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA are encouraged to apply
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, with experience in handling and analysing large datasets
  • Familiar with balance sheet reconciliations
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up persistently with third parties or stakeholders
  • Confident communicator across all mediums – whether by phone, email, or in person – and able to convey information clearly and professionally
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to take on challenges and find solutions using initiative

Desirable

  • Proficiency with financial software systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Curo
  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, or a similar industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies in data

Where will I be working?

We are looking for someone for our Whiteley office, and offer hybrid working, currently 3 days in the office, with the remainder at home.

The salary is between £32,000-£40,000pa depending on experience, alongside 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), life assurance, income protection and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform. The role is 37.5 hours per week between the hours 8.30-5pm.
